The formation of student character is an essential component in education that aims to produce a generation with high integrity, not only excelling academically but also having strong moral and ethical values. This study aims to analyze the character formation strategies applied at MTsN 1 Trenggalek through the integration of character values in the curriculum, extracurricular activities, and character development programs. The method used was a mixed method, with quantitative data collection through questionnaires on 120 students in grades VII to IX, as well as qualitative data through in-depth interviews with 30 informants consisting of students, teachers, and staff, plus direct observation and school program documentation. The results of the study show that a holistic approach that combines academic learning with character building activities significantly contributes to the improvement of students' discipline, responsibility, honesty, and social awareness. Quantitative data provides an overview of the perception and application of character values among students, while qualitative data reveals the process of internalizing these values in daily life. These findings confirm that character education must be an integral part of the madrasah education system, with policy support, a conducive learning environment, and active involvement of all school components. This study recommends strengthening the synergy between formal curriculum and non-formal activities to shape student character in a sustainable and contextual manner.
